Nothing could be more interesting than the frameless sunglasses inside a sport-chic minimalist style. Structured pieces and transparencies invades the collection with a little touch of color blocking styles highlighting the frames, and are skillfully crafted from polished metal or richly rhinestones acetate.

Besides the classic, iconic logo of Fendi decorating the temples, there are also innovative double “F” logos inlayed onto the rich acetate in unique form, whether on end pieces or fully wrapped in a repeating FENDI double “F” pattern, as well as in the form of functional hinge that does not separate the unbreakable union of the linked double “F”.

With a high blushed cheek blended into a saturated eye, we can see Peter Philips, Global Director for Chanel Makeup, gave much more intense in the eyes, but played down in the natural-looking lips, while the colorful pastel wigs with bangs are perfect to spotlight the super pretty-in-pink romantic eye lids.

With the strong-but-not-too-strong eye brows, and a little touch of mascara, the entire look is pretty much showing a romantic cloud of loveliness, along with the matte skin, slightly feverish cheeks, and a low-sheen lips, all are blended to moderate the look, creating a doll-like makeup without looking too clown-y.

As for this Chanel Resort 2012 collection, Karl Lagerfeld is celebrating the eighteenth century French aristocracy by hosting the show at Château de Versailles and showcasing what I can call the today’s version of Marie Antoinette donning feminine dresses in pastel shades touched with modern punk style

Although, sometimes I feel a little bit fatigued of seeing the whole complex detailing, layering and embellishments featured in most of Chanel collection by Karl Lagerfeld – because obviously we can never expect anything simple and sleek from his overabundance of clothing and accessories – but I must admit that I love the feminine taste of the pastel, chalky shaded outfits presented in this Resort collection. Modern, luxurious, and adorably cute, this collection will definitely engrave itself into the style-consciousness of the fashion fold.

With a mash-up of eighteenth century party attire and twenty-first-century club wear of today, models wore Easter egg dyed bobs and ruffled skirts, multicolored tiered mini paired with a sequined jacket, white dresses detailed at the waists with rich imperial red or purple embroidery, as well as some of swimwear and a couple tweed outfits that were still quite perplexing to me.

Although there are plenty of simple silhouettes among the pieces as the representation of the modern style like various denim and shorts, which I really love, but still overly creative and too much, Lagerfeld sparked a golden vibe into some pieces, such as the embroidered gold in baby blue outfits or the tiny white sundress with gold bullion. Not to mention he also put plenty of ruffles here and there resembling the touch of eighteenth-century royalty styles, which I assume Lagerfeld had imagined what a teenage princess and her entourage might look like today.

Featuring eight covers all together for this Summer 2012 editorial, The lights, Camera, Action issue chooses eight stars cover up in the works including Raf Simons, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Arizona Muse, Andrew Garfield, Léa Seydoux, Felicity Hayward, Agyness Deyn, Andrej Peji? and Dree Hemmingway. 

Although i-D magazine doesn’t 100% provide fully readable contents to its readers, but I’m guessing people will be always fascinated by the way they present stunning cover pictorials. Inside one of the eight editorials, the magazine also took a little glimpse about a Polish fashion model and actress, Malgosia Bela, who trips the light fantastic in an enchanting fashion story as a dancer, inviting us to experience the full majesty of Malgosia in action. With mesmerizing grace, Malgosia pirouettes her way through the pages, sporting Rick Owens, Vuitton, Calvin Klein and more. (see the video below).

Julia Restoin Roitfeld’s photoshoot, however, features the most outstanding cover compared other great covers in this issue. Shot by a well-known photographer Mario Sorrenti and styled by her dearly mother Carine Roitfeld, the cover captures Julia pregnant and half naked as she looks beautifully stunning and radiant without any typical nudity like other pregnant celebrities’ photoshoots.

With some cute details like the stuffed teddy bear, soft lighting, and a magical children’s room, Julia bares her baby bump beneath the sexy Cadolle lingerie in teal and the shimmering, beaded McQueen cape in peach. For the cover Julia embodies a perfect amount of sensuality and seductiveness as a pregnant woman, while inside she reveals her ideas for dressing the baby and the songs she will play for him or her, and other naked pictorial portraying Julia is covered by a lacy garment.

While Arizona Muse gives a wicked Wild Wild West wink on the cover, along with the whimsical video (above) of Arizona as Indian woman, Andrew Garfield shares his experience when he gets to grips with his acrobatic role in The Amazing Spiderman, and as usual, the British actress and model, Agyness Deyn, looks incredibly cute and lovely on the cover, as she also opens up about her cinematic debut, ‘Pusher’. As the designer plans to incorporate the use of technology, “It’ll be very digitally oriented and high-tech,” said Formichetti to WWD, the line will have the ability to charge a mobile phone, and can mold perfectly to a wearer’s body by using new materials and methods, like avoiding the use of zippers

The concept behind the new collection aims to use solar panels that can recharge a cell phone by using high-tech, aforementioned solar power-enabled fabrics, plus, the line will also automatically mold to the wearer’s body so that the wearer doesn’t have to use a zipper, “Why do you have to have a zipper when you can have a jacket that’s molded to your body?” he explained.

To help him achieve his idea, Formichetti is now working with an undisclosed technology company to create his hi-tech clothing line, which is currently in production and will be launched online in mid- 2013. So, instead of having the collection being presented at Fashion Week, as he referred the line “may not have seasons,” Formichetti’s collection will be launched online, and the official presentation will therefore not as usual during the fashion week.

I think it’s going to be fun finding out his new collection through website, and I’m already looking forward to discovering some detail or expecting something amazing with his new clothes and accessories. And something similar has happened in this Spring Summer 2012 fashion world, when Prada started their 1950s American pop culture themed campaign that portrays the classic 1950s hot rod and muscle flame painted cars and symbolic messages of optimism, positivism, and great confidence of the future.

Everything that embody this 50s inspiration of Prada Spring Summer 2012 Campaign, from the label’s collection and styles, the choices of color, to the entire environments presented in the campaign are now followed by numerous ad campaigns and Spring editorials of glossy magazines around the world. Practically saying, at the moment Prada launched its campaign, collection and influences, the rest came by itself showing that the Prada Effect is now really unstoppable.

I’m thinking whether Prada should put their patent responding to this effect =)

More than 367 days have flown by after the newly minted Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were walking the Buckingham Palace grounds hand in hand, and even after she reached her 30 years of age last January, the Princess seems to never fail showing such gracefulness with outstanding style of fashion.

It’s been a while, I haven’t post any of Kate Middleton’s related article, and when I found plenty of news after her wedding last year, I looked at many of her appearances, dresses, and all attires she wore for the last several months back, I honestly wasn’t really surprised, because I know she’s type of person who never disappoints us anywhere and with any of her styles, as she ALWAYS looks amazing and gorgeous.

We all know that Kate Middleton is never afraid of color, and she really knows how to use block shades to create a bold yet sophisticated look, but now she is also getting sexier in most sophisticated way, showing her donning a sexy gown that exposes her demure hose-less legs like never before, she also wore various lacy gowns, or many dresses that really hit the latest trends, even sometimes she made herself to be a real trend-setter followed by all women around the world.

Now, let see what this modern princess has donned recently, and with her iconic smile she glams in style of sophistication, elegance and charm.

Kate has good taste in clothes, and it’s been a long time – since Diana, in fact – that a younger member of the royal family had style. Like when she and husband went for the Canadian and US tour, I like her tribute to the Canadians, with her maple leaf hat or the Queen Mother’s (Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II) diamond Maple Leaf brooch, I think Kate and William are a lovely couple and they seem to be doing a very good job of representing Britain abroad – clotheswise for Kate.

However, not that I don’t like Kate Middleton, because she’s indeed really lovely as hell, but looking at all of these pictures showing her in numerous outstanding, elegant and beautiful outfits and styles, I just have one minor, teeny weeny complain about Kate Middleton as the Duchess of Cambridge.

For only one time, I really want to read news reporting that Kate Middleton – the Duchess of Cambridge – is more than “just” a Queen of Fashion.  I meant, yes, she is a true beautiful lady with remarkable taste of clothes, but I want to read news telling that Kate is now doing something more than just being stylist and beautiful.

When I looked at Kate and Michelle Obama and read many articles about the meeting held in Buckingham Palace, surely Kate’s stylist look got more public attention than Michelle, which for me Michelle herself doesn’t look bad either (people have their own fashion taste, don’t they). Yes, Kate might have won the ‘fashion parade’ but when it comes to ambition and a willingness to work hard, sorry to say, Kate is sadly lacking compared to Mrs. Obama who had a career of her own and has made real contribution to the society or the economy. For me, it’s hard to respect Kate when her ambitions were nothing else other than marrying Prince William. In fact, marrying Prince William was her main job and only achievement thus far.

People tend to compare both ladies’ style (Kate and Michelle) when they met together, showcasing their fashion outfit, and although ladies around the world chose Kate’s taupe, clean and sleek dress more than – what people call – FLOTUS of Michelle Obama, I see the image of what these two ladies has brought are indeed totally different, and I think Michelle Obama presented a better message as an American woman, comparing to what Kate has brought as a British woman. Correct me if I was wrong, and maybe I’m a bit biased now, but aside from the ‘piece of clothes’ they chose, I see Michelle Obama presents herself with more confidence, courage, character, intelligence, and strength as a modern woman rather than Kate Middleton.

Of course, my thought is mostly based on how the media illustrate them through many of their articles. And, I really wish later on, some news will come out describing Kate not only by her look, fashion, and appearance, but also from what she’s done for the community. Now, I honestly can’t help myself for not comparing Kate and Princess Diana, and I’m asking your opinion. What do you think of those two princesses? Which of them better represent as a Princess of the United Kingdom?

Women’s Wear Daily reports that specific products and categories of Christian Louboutin Beauté haven’t been announced yet, but the lines will be very constructed, quite different and unexpected and will include his trademark scarlet translated into anything from lipstick and eyeshadow to nail polish.

If you happen to notice at last 2012 Grammy Awards, the British singer, Adele, wore what we like to call the Louboutin Manicure, as he had her nails painted a dazzling silver, with the undersides a deep red, just like a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. Now we’re guessing what Louboutin’s signature red, or another luxury trademark will pop up throughout his beauty collection.

Just like what he did with luxury women’s footwear, as Louboutin has topped the Luxury Institute’s annual Luxury Brand Status, the designer said that his beauty collection also has to reflect the quality of the shoes, of the bags, and of all the DNA of the brand, plus, the packaging and product will also be as detail-oriented as his approach to shoe design. All in all, expecting to be sexy and strong, just like the stilettos, Christian Louboutin Beauté also has to do with empowering women. Well … I’m guessing it will definitely be expensive collection.

Now, while we are expecting the Christian Louboutin Beauté, how about trying the Christian Louboutin-inspired nails, just to prepare what we are going to see next year. I found this helpful instructional video (above) that will give you a glimpse into the process. Basically, paint the underside of your nails red, and the upside a different color. Maybe black. Maybe blue, or just like Adele when she channeled Louboutin Manicure matched with her silver glitter Christian Louboutin pump (Noted: Adele’s manicure was done by Mike Pocock using Ciaté Paint Pot in Jewel on top and Ciaté Paint Pot in Mistress underneath, both of which will be available at Sephora in March)

To have the gorgeous Louboutin Manicure, most importantly it will work better for those who have a big nail. And what you will need are: red enamel, black enamel or any other of your choice and colorless base, swabs, and nail polish remover … Mind that the color underside doesn’t necessarily has to be red, as you also allow to do the color block method to your nails. 1 Paint the inside of the nail tips. Apply two coats of red enamel on all nails.
